gotta love this comic and this one...
seriously, go listen to this ...
i [heart] wi-fi!
I'm sitting here, flipping through all the channels here at the hotel and there's nothing good on any of the cable networks! Rather, nothing I haven't seen on regular tv or dvd. At least Prison Break is a new episode!
ps...wonder where I am this week...the image graphic on this layout will answer that...although I'm practically so far north of Congress that I'm practically in the 'burbs. At least IKEA is only a few exits away!!!!
How do you want 2008 to be different from 2007? What will you change or do differently?
Submitted by Becca-Pink.
I want to simplify everything as much as possible! Starting small, by getting rid of stuff I no longer use and need, as well as eliminating all the email lists I'm on. Speaking of which, that's what I'm doing right now :) From there...well I'll tackle the next stage when I get to it.
Have you figured out what your (or your kids') Halloween costume will be this year? What's it going to be?
Me...not that I'll get to dress up probably, but if I go out with friends, either my devil horns, my mardi gras mask, or a tiara. I'm lacking creativity this year!
I have had one major pet peeve for years, folks who misprounce my name...
...well, I think there's a second one that almost ties with that one: people who call you back when they see a missed call, but fail to listen to the voicemail first.
I know my phone shows me that I have a voicemail before it shows me I have a missed call, so is it that hard to listen to the voicemail first? In five years, I've left plenty of voicemails for clients and customers, answering questions they called and left me a message for. And do the majority of them bother to listen to the message first? No. Nada. Nil.
If I take the time to leave you a one minute (and sometimes longer) message to answer your question, for pete's sake, listen to the bloody message! Don't call me back minutes (if that long) later and say you saw the missed call. Would you want to reiterate the same bloody thing twice in a short period of time if I were too lazy to check my voicemail first?
Granted, sometimes when you know someone's called more than once in a short period of time and you figure its urgent, yeah, that's okay. But every day questions...just listen to the voicemail first. Is that too much to ask?
